It feels good to have my butt cheeks resting in the familiar curves of my computer chair again. This is truly an "AAAAAAH~" moment.
Just came back from my drawing test. How did it go? Well, it wasn't too bad, I guess. I could do the first two questions with minimal problems - they were just simple ortoghonal and isometric projections. *Zu za zu za* and half an hour later, I am on the third and final question.
But that's where the troubles start.
Using mathematical instruments, we had to construct and draw out an object from scratch. The object given was a spanner. At first, I was like, should be no problem lar and started drawing the spanner's handle.
*Zu za zu za*
Handle done. I now attempt to draw the head of the spanner. However, that's when I noticed that the head is not perfectly circular, nor is it an ellipse (both of those shapes I can construct) but is in the shape of a sickening distorted chicken egg! The curves' radii were given, but I had problems pinpointing their centres... It took me my remaining one hour to ponder over it and finally... not get the answer.
In the end, I cooked up something that bears some resemblance to the intended shape. When I was done with the drawing, the spanner's head looks extremely bloated. I thought, what the hell and proceeded to put in the finishing touches and the dimensions.
Don't remind me of eggs, people.
Sidelines: After test, we went to eat nasi lemak for dinner. Oh Glorious Heaven it must have been the best nasi lemak I have ever tasted. More of that in my next post.
