How's This For Nostalgia
Stress has a way of making you dig up all those old nuggets from the past!
I loved Doraemon as a kid and I still do now. Back then, the appeal was in the gadgets drawn from Doraemon's amazingly deep pockets in every episode. And the various ways Nobita manages to misuse the gadgets, of course!
Today, all these things I still love (yea call me a kid who never grew up =P). And Doraemon has become a way to escape the hassles involved in growing up... Notice how carefree Nobita and friends always were? No worry or care for the day except the occassional run-in with the angry teacher or mum. Don't we all yearn to return to those simpler days? Seems like so long ago, don't they?
And if you have yet to watch/read the ending to Doraemon, you MUST.
I am in Nostalgic Mode.

It means grow up. =)
20 years later, the kids born this decade is gonna have nostalgia over Naruto and Bleach.
Eric,
It's pretty hard to get nostalgic over Naruto and Bleach lor. Those cartoons don't have the same "feel good" feeling like Doraemon!
