Way To Go

Yesterday, I handed in my AutoCAD assignment.

To be honest, this was the second most relaxed assignment I have ever had. The most relaxed one would be my MATLAB assignment which is due next Wednesday, but completed last Wednesday.

Of course, after going through CEP, every assignment feels relaxed.

Okay, seriously now. I think that it felt so relaxed was mainly because for once, I did not procrastinate in doing my work! I can hear the angels singing 'hallelujah' . Living at a place without TV or Internet sure have its payoffs.

No TV. No Internet. No buddies to chat with. What other things can I do?

#1. Stare at the wall.
#2. Stare at the kitchen sink.
#3. Stare at the wall behind the kitchen sink.
#4.-#1089. Stare at something else.
#1090. Do my homework.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather be choosing option #1090.

So in the two weeks leading up to the deadline, I've been putting some time almost every night into finishing up my AutoCAD drawing. Nothing crazy like the seven-to-seven marathons that I pulled during CEP. Just one or two hours a night and I find that, hey! I actually have time to spare! The last minute adjustment to my linetype doesn't count, Wui Jie.

See, this is the way to go, guys. I wonder how long I can personally keep this up, though. Put some time and love into your work. Do a little bit everyday and you will have a smooth journey to the end. Don't go on WLM when you're working on the computer. If the Net distracts, don't go online at all. And if you can't resist going online, you're either: 1. toast. or 2. better off living in a place without TV or Internet.

This post is so hypocritical.

I hope you're not so much into physical isolation that you became an anti-social.

That sounds very ... encouraging, Drin. Really it does.

Yeah, while I am procrastinating here, I should take your advice seriously.

Btw, where are you that seems to be isolated, as mentioned?

Eric,
At least I finish my work, do not rot in front of the computer 12 hours a day and actually plays badminton at least twice a week. Anti social? Well, if you see signs of it, give me a holler.

Dienasty,
You sound so cynical I wonder if you really are. Or terasa? Hahaha.

Valarie,
I don't know how long I can keep up not procrastinating. Hehe. And urm, I stay with my cousin. The place we're staying at doesn't have TV cables or phone lines. That's what you get for cheap accommodation :)

I don't call that place cheap if I were you... There are lots of other stuff to do besides watching TVs and Internet.. He can go swimming, do some gym, have some car wash or maybe chat at other people's wife and children. No physical isolation at all. He lived with his cousin, how is that isolated? Nice place I would call it. Spent many sleepless night there.

Ezekiel,
There's a pool and a mini gym, but I wonder when was the last time I used them. No geng, you see!!

This morning, a friend of mine saw your picture in your blog (yea so I was reading blogs during lecture.. so sue me) and she said that you and I look alike (despite me protesting that we do not). So I think I might as well just stare at the guy in the mirror. Nicer looking ba =P

Abshinav Rastogi,
I'm glad you agree. When a question starts with the word "Show...", I would begin my test with a slap to my forehead. "Awww hell..."
