Stick Men, that is.

No, not anorexic young men, you rotted brain sickos.

I am talking about Stick Men drawings! What's that, you ask? Well, think back to when you were nothing but a teeny-weeny little kid attempting to take your very first steps into the world of arts. You wanna draw your handsome daddy, so you pick up a pencil, go to the nearest blank wall and drew this:

Your daddy comes home, and you show his handsome portrait drawn on the wall..

...and you get a spanking for giving him an extra two hours of cleaning in the weekends. Congratulations, you have just recalled your first baby steps into the world of art.

Don't worry. Everyone began with stick drawings. And they gradually improve. But some don't. Like my drawings... I try drawing a dog and people mistake it for a bus.

Anyways, stick drawings have been the craze these days. There's a rather famous Singaporean blogger by the name of Stickgirl whose blog is devoted entirely to telling her stories in stick drawings!

But the main star for today is a local kid... Someone you readers may or may not know. Let me introduce to you Mr. Keith!

*Blush!*

Keith began blogging just like anyone else. He started with trivial posts - his daily experiences, rantings, the occasional review and so on. Then, one day, he decided to try something new: Stick Drawings! If I am not mistaken, this is his very first post with stick drawings inside: "Leaders".

At first, it was all in a serious tone. His posts were inspirational but with the occassional dark humor inserted inside. But that gradually changed too! Now, his posts are on a much lighter note!

After a short while, he found his very own style. Look at one of his handiworks and you can instantly link him to the comic! It is that distinctive. Also, he now has his own family of characters, taken from his real-life friends (er, that would be us). He even posted up a drawing of all the characters, but I can't find the link at the moment. For those of you who knows what's going on around our gang, you will instantly recognize who's who.

That's one of the beauties of Keith's drawing. All of them are simple sketches, yet can be easily related to real life! Isn't that one of the things that make up a great cartoon? ;)

And they're all so funny! Just check out the expressions on some of the characters! And look at the sarcasm he inserts into his jokes! Sometimes, the humor is so witty it makes you smack your forehead hard before laughing out loud. At other times, the drawings are just so adorable you just can't help but love them.

Reading his blog makes me feel like I am watching Spongebob Squarepants. High praise, that! And nothing has made me feel that way since, well, Spongebob Squarepants.

To be honest with you, I've fallen in love with Keith's blog! The characters are so cute, the humor so witty that one simply can't resist its charms.

My only complaint is that the titles of the comics are a bit too long sometimes. I prefer comics titled by only one or two words. More 'effect'. Haha! Ah well, I guess that is just a matter of personal preference.

Readers, you MUST give this blog a try. This is an up and coming blogger who really has tons of potential to make it big out in the blogosphere.

In my opinion, Keith is even better than Stickgal. But that's just me. You guys give your own opinion.
