Fluff!

Sunday afternoon.

I was having my beautiful afternoon nap when...

RING RING!

The phone jolted me to a jumping start. Bloody hell. Still groggy and off-balanced, I bounced my way to the telephone and picked up.

Me: Hello...
Baboon Voice: Eh, Aldrin hia? Eric here. This afternoon you free or not?
Me: Do what?
Eric: Aa.. You want to teman me go pet shop?
Me (still feeling drugged): Huh?
Eric: I want to buy cage for the rabbits.
Me: Oh cincai lar. You pick me?
No choice lar 'cos I already kinda promised him I'd teman him.

Eric: Get ready in fifteen minutes. *tut tut tut~*

He hung up.

Fifteen minutes later, his Crash Test Car Waja arrived and I hopped in. We went on a side trip to pick up Shu Chan and then went on our amazing afternoon of looking at pets and surveying rabbit cages. In the end, we settled for the cage sold at Amazing Pets, Rock Road branch. It costs RM45 and was modestly large. Very good for value. Sorry no interest in taking pictures of a rabbit cage.

Oh and check out this doggie here. He's the doggie roaming around the pet shop. Presumably owned by the shop owner.

While waiting for the shopkeepers to get the cage out of the store room, I had a good look around the pet shop. There were many puppies for sale there! Most of them are pure breed and do really cost a fortune. There were Pugs, Terriers and the like... Pretty standard stuff. But there was one dog that really caught my eye.

Reminds me of a dog I used to have. Except that Bruno looked like a wolf, not a fox.

Wow! This doggie here is really beautiful. Emphasis on BEAUTIFUL!

Check out its features. It seems to have the characteristics of a fox. Just look at the shape of that face. Doesn't it just seem foxy?

Anyone knows what breed this dog is?

After buying the cage, we zoomed to Johny's house to introduce the rabbits to their new home. You see, Johny is the actual owner of the rabbits. Eric bought them from him. Actually, there's a whole story behind this, but it is not my tale to tell. For more information, ask Eric himself.

The last time I saw the baby rabbits was when they were only a few days old. At that time, they were pretty hairless and weren't even as long as the length of my palm. Not so cute back then. But now, they've grown up and are just sooooo darn adorable!

Nibble nibble!

These young rabbits are pretty much fearless. You can go right up to them to pat them and they won't even flinch. Heck, they actually hippity-hopped their way towards me and sniffed me all over. I guess at their young age, they have yet to understand the dangers that can befell an innocent bunny. Shu Chan explained that as they grow towards adulthood, they'll become as shy as other bunnies are.

Bunnies that keep scampering away when one approaches aren't so fun and cute ler. So little rabbits, don't grow up too fast, okay?


By the way, do you know what it feels like to have a rabbit scamper all over you? I didn't. In fact, I don't know shit about rabbits. That's despite the fact that I learned 'penternakan arnab' back in Form 3. However, all they taught us was to breed rabbits for slaughter. So I guess that doesn't count.

Home sweet home?

Anyways, I put one of them on my thigh and let it scamper around a bit. I thought that I would feel the soft fluff of a furry paw. But instead, I felt claws. CLAWS! I didn't even know rabbits are supposed to have claws. It was so ticklish I almost smacked Eric just to ease the tickle. Come to think of it, that smack would have been worth it anyways. Hrm. Regretting now. =P

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Shu Chan brought the rabbits home that day. She cared for the two fluffy cuties until yesterday, when Eric finally got approval from his mum to rear the rabbits at his home.

Having obtained the green light from his mum, Eric can finally bring his rabbits to his own home. So we went over to Shu Chan's to collect the bunnies. It was feeding time, and we got to see first hand the eating machines that were the rabbits.

Seriously, the rabbits eat a hell lot! We were at Shu Chan's for about one hour or so, and the rabbits were eating from when we just arrived until even after we left! No wonder rabbits get fat so quickly.

Well, now the rabbits should be happily asleep in the house of Mr. Hand of Destruction Eric. Take good care of the rabbits, Eric!
