As I sit here with the monitor staring at me, a great wind suddenly came and blew away the dust in my brain. This brought up the memory of an event of about a year ago. I take that this must be a sign of God to bring to public this event of great significance.
Before you continue reading, recite HALLELUJAH! out loud for ten times.
Done? Okay.
I learnt this back in my Foundation's 1st Semester, when I visited a friend's house during a break between classes. Let's refer to him as Averdude.
I was sitting on the sofa, reading the newspaper. Averdude was next to me, thumbing the remote for the Astro. His grandmother was sitting opposite us. I absorbed myself in the newspaper and then...
Averdude put down the remote control, leaned forward, looked his grandma in the eye and said:
"Grandma, he said that you're FAT."
....
I fell speechless. I didn't know what to do or say at all! Hahaha. I just stared and stared and waited for a response. But none came.
"Grandma, he doesn't want to give us face. He said he doesn't want to eat our food."
(It was lunch time, and their maid just served lunch. But I declined because I just had my lunch before that)
Another moment of awkward silence follows! What would you do in such a situation? Hahaha. Later, Averdude explained to me that his grandma is half-deaf so she couldn't have heard him anyway. The bastard.
What lesson is to be learnt from this? Never ever ever visit Averdude's house whenever his relatives are around.
Bastard.
